EDITORIAL
The media made a mistake in 2015.
They picked a walking train wreck to focus on, and gave him unlimited coverage. For free.
For five years, there was a human dumpster fire incapable of forming complete sentences at the top of the headlines every day of the week and twice on Fridays. Ratings soared; political involvement went through the roof. The ad money rolled in. So did political donations — to both parties. It was a win-win.
The only price we paid? President Trump.
Take a good hard look at those two words. I’m going to do my absolute best to not repeat them until after the 2024 elections. It’s not that he’s not newsworthy; it’s not that I dislike getting hits or donations or any of that. It’s that the price is too high.
I wish major media would follow my lead, but they won’t.
Guess who’ll end up paying the price this time?
PS: This is not an endorsement of Uncle Joe, who also finds complete sentences difficult. He’s no genius, but on the other hand he’s no… HA! Almost said it!
