Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D. Arizona) has gained a ton of positive press recently, particularly among Republicans, for her hardnosed pro-bipartisanship stance during the recent negotiations over the infrastructure bill. Alongside such notable moderates as Susan Collins, Joe Manchin, and Lisa Murkowski, she has prioritized accomplishment over partisan politics. Of course this is drawing the ire of her party, particularly that part of the progressive wing loyal to Ocasio-Cortez. They have little tolerance for moderates, and have begun fundraising for a PAC to defeat her in her next primary race.

Fear and Loathing 2020: A Letter To Uncle Joe
I’ve been trying for months, but I’ve been unable to put it into words. Then, an unusually reasonable exchange on Twitter followed by a timely DNC campaign email crystallized the thought for me. F&L: Tulsi Gabbard and the Spirit of Aloha
If you’re into identity politics, there’s no denying this candidate is the most individually diverse. She’s Samoan-Asian-Polynesian-European-American (among other things), is Hindu and a vegan, and is running for president as a champion of the Aloha Spirit. She’s met with Modi and Assad, resigned from office to go to war for her country, opposes regime change wars but believes fervently in hunting down and destroying terrorists wherever they are, and is presently a major in the Hawaii National Guard.
